Pros

Valuable Client Interactions: Despite the numerous challenges within the company, one of the most rewarding aspects of my time at DeepNet was the client base we served. Engaging with a variety of clients, many of whom were genuinely nice and appreciative, added value to my work experience. It was gratifying to meet and assist these clients, and I am glad to know that most of them have since found better service providers, reflecting their deserved respect and quality of service. Supportive Coworkers: One of the bright spots in my experience at DeepNet was the camaraderie and support among my colleagues. Despite the challenging circumstances, working alongside these fantastic individuals was a highlight. Their professionalism, teamwork, and resilience under pressure made the work environment more bearable. I am pleased to see many of them moving on to better opportunities, where their talents and efforts can be more appreciated and rewarded.

Cons

My tenure at DeepNet has been an eye-opener, revealing a stark contrast between the company's public image and the internal realities. Company History & Current State: Before the merger, Symbio experienced a mass walkout, often attributed to "The Great Resignation". However, conversations with former employees paint a different picture, revealing a toxic work environment and inadequate compensation as the true culprits. The merger led to the departure of several long-standing employees, a concerning trend albeit somewhat expected during major organizational changes. Currently, DeepNet is on an increasingly troubling path. In recent months, a significant number of legacy staff members have departed, citing reasons such as high stress levels, a toxic work culture, abusive leadership, and insufficient pay. This worrying trend persists, with many employees actively seeking other opportunities. The company's response has been to hire younger, less expensive staff, who unfortunately appear to be viewed as more expendable. Moreover, the organization is struggling to retain its workforce. Many new hires quickly realize the true nature of the company and either leave shortly after joining or continue their job search while still employed. This ongoing issue underscores the deep-rooted problems within DeepNet's work culture and management practices. Work Culture: The so-called "Easy Working Culture" is misleading. A few individuals shoulder the brunt of responsibilities, while others, especially those less vocal about company issues, receive undue favor. Vocal individuals, genuinely trying to effect positive change, often find themselves marginalized. Unlimited PTO: While DeepNet initially promoted its "Unlimited PTO" as a major employee benefit, recent policy shifts have significantly undermined this perk. The leadership team is now imposing severe restrictions on the amount of PTO that can be taken by employees, with the exception of leadership and owners. These limitations are being justified by citing the company's challenges in meeting client demands, which have been exacerbated by a high turnover rate among staff. This move not only reduces one of DeepNet's key benefits but also highlights ongoing operational difficulties within the company. It's a concerning development that seems to disproportionately affect the broader workforce while sparing those at the top. Time Metrics: DeepNet's belated introduction of time tracking has been a bone of contention. The leadership's fixation on this metric, sidelining other valuable contributions, has been a source of frustration. The unrealistic expectation for teams to consistently hit aggressive targets is demoralizing. Content Manipulation: There are indications that leadership might be commissioning "ghost" writers to produce positive content about the company. This raises ethical concerns and casts doubt on the authenticity of some online narratives about DeepNet. The behavior of certain leadership figures has been particularly alarming. There have been instances where staff were asked to "rate" their colleagues, fostering mistrust and competition. Moreover, there were times when employees felt undermined or discredited based on personal protected attributes. In conclusion, DeepNet's past and present paint a concerning picture. Prospective employees should exercise caution and thoroughly research the company's culture before making a decision.

Pros

The teams are very tight-knit and work hard to bail water out of the ship. The clients are great and understanding about issues. The planned PTO is nice, and the workload is manageable if you're excellent at time management.

Cons

The leadership at this company is a joke. They pretend to be all about employee satisfaction and feedback, but if you try to bring up any issues or critique them in any way, they act like you're personally trying to ruin their lives. When an employee left the company after bringing the issues to light in a company-wide email, the primary leader said they were welcome back. That employee has since applied to two positions and has yet to be asked to interview. If you say a word against them or their leadership style, you're asking to be "transitioned" out of the company. They read some book about business or leadership and it becomes their bible and they must apply all principles in it to the organization. It's a running joke that they've never had an original thought. They hire middle-aged white men for all of the top positions that mimic them at every term. They only speak in corporate jargon and have never heard the word "empathy", much less tried to have it. The three core leaders have known each other since they were teenagers and continually bring in people that they have personal ties to whenever they can.

Pros

I didn't like working here at all. The management is delusional at best.

Cons

This company is a sham. Same old antiquated stuff you see at companies just trying to bill clients. Connectwise metrics running the company and a fake sales pitch of an ethical company.
