      Pros

      Good communication with management. Most of staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Good perks - company car, etc. Work from home. Large territory that was easily handled. Rapid respond to questions and concerns. As long as work was done and done well, management left you alone.

      Cons

      Large percentage of the company got laid off a year after the company was purchased by another large brokerage company. Underwriting by QBE tightened guidelines so much that new business was rare and the entire loss control division along with other major parts of the company was laid off with no notice. All in all the company had been good to work with.

      Pros

      flexible environment for family if you do your job, there is security UNLESS there are another round of layoffs things are lax. if you don't know your job, don't worry-no one else knows theirs, either good hours

      Cons

      adequate training never provided raises difficult to obtain (last decent raise was 4 years ago) no ability to move forward-once you're in a position, that's where you'll be until you're laid off management never takes problems seriously, and often (most of the time) lies right in your face when you bring up issues horrible insurance benefits for family
