Pros

DRT was a great small company when I first started. The employees were very friendly and it was easy to make friends with coworkers. Very smart and laid back environment when I was there. They also pushed you to better yourself, whether it was learning and applying a new language or going for additional schooling. They were also big in lateral moves to different departments and groups if you wanted to try something new. Please keep in mind that all of these pros were before Boeing...

Cons

Now a subsidiary of Boeing... You are just another workhorse working on the same bugs and tickets for every software release. It became very hard to move up the ladder, because now you had to move up according to Boeing's scales. It just became very boring and monotonous, where I felt like I was not improving or bettering myself.

Pros

Cutting edge technology, flat organization, short communication paths, nimble decision making. While I was there, there were great bonuses and salaries were above market rate. Friendly atmosphere, smart people.

Cons

Managers were too involved in technical and design decisions. They were always former engineers but still, too much micromanaging at times. When Boeing bought DRT the level of bureaucracy went through the roof. Before Boeing there had never been a layoff at DRT. After Boeing there have been 2. It's not a special place to work any more. Just another grind.

Pros

DRT has a very high quality product, and does cutting edge, high quality work. The technical team is strong, nearly everyone is smart and hardworking, and you learn a lot from working with people with great ideas.

Cons

Upper management provides no leadership. Endless planning committees are formed to address problems, and no progress is made on pressing problems for years. The project management culture stifles innovation, with even small technical tasks being subjected to a multi-month approval process that prevent engineers from responding to customer problems, and "priority 1" projects can meander for months or even years waiting trying to pass through artificial project gates. This has resulted in an increasingly apathetic work culture, with engineers and even low level managers excited about the technical content of their work, but feeling helpless to make anything better for the company or for customers.
