People don't leave jobs, they leave toxic work culture.

Pros

- Good overall salary for expats - Great employee benefits (Vacation days, Premium Health Insurance, Company Activities, etc.) - Great location and amazing looking office

Cons

Despite all the above benefits, there is a high employee turnover in the IT department mainly caused by: - The lack of transparency. - The lack of long term vision. The decision-making process is always influenced by one or multiple stakeholders. - The technical debt that has been accumulated for years. This directly relates to point #2. - Suboptimal project management processes and tools.

Pros

Visa and work permit provided

Cons

No training or induction, you are expected to just start immediately with no system training. Having to wait a few days while IT scramble around the office looking for an old laptop and headset to give you. No annual events or staff gatherings, I just keep getting told about amazing staff parties and perks they had many years ago but nothing gets organised or done Its hard to book days off, they give you a small window to book all your holidays, management make you feel guilty to ask for time off You will never be appreciated for the hard work you put in. The office is very political, staff talk behind each others backs and judging everyone. Conflict between staff members is normal and managers are unable to handle such internal issues. For a tech company they use old and cheap technology - computers, monitors and headsets are always falling apart. Management have been in the company for far too long and have little experience with managing a team, the very few promotions are only for Swedish people, no future career here. Management never set an example, they hide in front of their computer screens all day and you have to notify them of an issue and deal with it yourself. Internal communication is almost non-existent, departments do not update other departments of important changes and this leads to internal chaos The company is going downhill, they have closed an entire floor and outsourcing a lot of their digital work, late on payments and getting rid of staff because they are always over employing and exceeding budgets. Always hearing rumors of the company being bankrupt making the rest of us feel insecure and constantly on edge

Thanks for your feedback. We will try to address the different topics. On-boarding: We know that we can improve our on-boarding, however training and induction is a part of every employee’s start with Diakrit. For our production teams, we have several months of training. Any working tools needed to do your job is of course supposed to be ready for you on your first working day. If there has been a miss in the on-boarding process when you started, we apologize for this. Annual events/staff gatherings: There are events that we do on an annual basis like football tournament, celebration of Diakrit birthday. We also have bi-weekly after work ping pong. Due to different external circumstances, like fluctuations in the local markets, bigger annual parties have been postponed. We have recently started a Diakrit social club to make sure that more regular events are happening. We’re a small company so we need people to come together to make sure that fun events happen. Everyone is responsible for making sure that we have a nice working environment and fun together. Vacation: We expect our employees to request for vacation in advance to be able to plan the business delivery. If you feel that you are not given enough time to plan for your vacation, please address this with your Manager. Promotions & Management: We are a Swedish founded company with a strong presence on the Scandinavian markets, which makes it an advantage, and sometimes even a requirement to be able to speak a Scandinavian language. However, we have several Managerial positions that are not filled by Swedish people. As an example, our CFO is Australian. Our Group Financial Controller is Thai. Our Head of Digital Visualizations is also Thai...and so on. We never promote based on nationality, we only promote based on skills, experience and most importantly potential. Closing 1 floor/outsourcing: As communicated to all staff, we took the decision to move our staff up to two floors, especially with one of our business units moving out to a new location. It didn’t make business sense. As you mention, yes we outsource a small part of our production. We do this together with long-term reliable suppliers to ensure the highest quality. We do all the quality controlling in-house. We are proud of the quality we deliver and that we can meet our customers’ high standards. Kind regards, Diakrit

Pros

One star purely for the Visa and Health Insurance

Cons

Where to start? *Constantly told no money, performing badly but no actions or solutions *Poor when it suits them as some Swedish staff still get free flights home each year, hardly a money saver *No payrises for two years *Just closed a whole floor, seem to be pushing business units out of the company *Job security is a major concern *Extremely poor communication, there is none *Trying to be an International company with the mindset of a local Scandinavian start up *Managers who seem completely out of touch with reality *Managers who shouldn't be managing due to lack of people or work skills *No career development, training, cross skilling and no progression at all unless you are Swedish - then its a fancy title that makes no sense, direct reports, an office and no accountability *Micromanaged *No recognition of employees in general *Absolutely no culture due to no interest in staff or their well-being *For a 'tech' company most of the equipment is old, breaking and wont be replaced without an approval from the head of the company
