Serious Challenges with Culture

Pros

The staff wants to succeed. The brand has so much potential and the mission is needed.

Cons

Culture does not match the advertising. "Lift the Spirit" was a marketing tactic that is not leveraged internally or externally. It was a blame culture that started at the very top. Ownership runs the company like a hobby and chases shiny objects. Hours were insane and they don't need to be. So why am I writing this now? Because I've had several co-worker friends reach out from the Demdaco asking for references for new employment. Do they know or care they are losing people?

Pros

Lift the spirit days (Community Time Off)

Cons

Low Pay, Raises do not reflect current cost of living. There is a feeling of distrust with higher ups and I don't feel they are being honest/upfront with their employees about the TRUE financial state of the company. Very outdated systems, manual and inefficient processes in place. Cannot make effective business decisions. Not all of the higher ups are on board for process improvements and CHANGE, some can be very egotistical. No room for career advancement. Very high turnover and new employees stay with the company on average 1-2 years. Most days no one knows what's going on and company operates in complete chaos due to horrific/bad data & reporting, outdated systems (mentioned above) and company is losing money as a result. Always a dumpster fire to put out and always something that has gone wrong and needs to be fixed. As of March 2024, WFH is only one day a week which has reduced work/life flexibility and eventually there will be no WFH. This will continue to make them a less than desirable company to work for along with all the other issues mentioned above.

Decent For a Little While

Pros

Nice office, good location, random food trucks, and meal kits are available. It's a good place to work if you're just starting out, (or like most individuals who work there) -retire there. It's the type of work environment that really is dependent on whether you land on a good team or not. It's a family run business which has its ups & down's.

Cons

Health Benefits aren't the best, PTO & pay is average, and no accountability with coworkers and upper management.
