Pros

Good peers, a cooperative vibe, and coworkers who are willing to share knowledge.

Cons

Inconsistent communication from leadership regarding vision and financial direction. Recurring layoffs around the holiday season over the past several years have impacted morale and trust.

Hello, Thank you for sharing this so openly, and for the decade-plus you dedicated to Cyncly — that's a meaningful commitment and we don't take it for granted. It's genuinely encouraging to hear that the people and collaborative spirit stood out as highlights. That sense of community among colleagues is something we're proud of and want to protect. We hear you on the harder parts. Uncertainty around leadership direction and the impact of repeated workforce changes — particularly around the holidays — is real, and we understand how deeply that affects trust and morale. Your advice to invest in long-term stability and clearer communication is fair, and it's the kind of honest input we need to hear. We're working to do better, and feedback like yours helps point the way. Wishing you well in the next chapter. The Cyncly Team

Pros

- Some employees are genuinely great people and do their best. - Flexible working

Cons

- Redundancies dressed up as "right sizing", getting rid of staff in one country, only to replace them with cheaper staff in another country. - Only hiring R&D roles in India. - Obsessed with AI - Upper management don't seem to know what software the company makes - Promotions only given to those who work on certain software - Lack of recognition - Poor pay increases which are connected to performance. If you perform well, you get between 2 and 3% raise - Doesn't follow its own values - Purchases new companies, only to gut them - Downsizes and gets rid of offices, only to open a new office in a new city and country - Constant negativity about financial growth, "only grew by 12%, we wanted 15%" - Clear favouritism shown to certain software teams and companies - Poor planning from management (decreasing sizes of teams, only to then realise the team is now too small to hit targets and deadlines) - Once celebrated a piece of software as the future, all while the software was unmanaged, had no developers assigned to it, and was lost for a while - Poor promotion of software they own.

There's real honesty in what you've shared, and we appreciate you laying it out so clearly. Consistency, recognition, fairness across teams and geographies, and living our values day-to-day — these things matter deeply to us, and we take this feedback seriously.
