Worst vendor to ever work with.

Pros

They are small. Easy to reach the recruiter. Easy to work with the HR. Its a 20 word minimum. That's the max I can think of.

Cons

They don't have fixed contract with the client and they promise they have long term commitment from the client. They can fire any one at any time for no reason. Please think before having them as a vendor.

We're sorry to hear you had a bad experience. We do work with Client contracts and are extremely careful to monitor the termination of contracts very closely. Please reach out to us if you have other questions or concerns.

Pros

CE has random cool perks for their employees and reward you when you exceed expectations. Some people do very well in this cutthroat environment. People are easy to get along with.

Cons

They are hiring as quickly as they are firing people. They are trying to grow too fast when they don't have enough resources to properly train their employees. Then when they don't meet standards, you get fired immediately with no warning. Standards are also unclear and not everyone knows the expectations until it's too late. No worklife balance if you want to keep your job. Upper management acts like they care but they're ready to let you if you don't generate revenue.

Crystal Equation is committed to ensuring proper training and clear standards to provide employees with the tools necessary for success. Through the onboarding process, new staff are provided with access to potential candidates, job leads, and resources to assist them with fulfilling the minimum requirement of filling one position within the first 90 days. This requirement is communicated upon hire. Due to the outstanding relationships that staff have built through clear communication with candidates and clients, the company has experienced growth. Subsequently, the need for hiring and retaining skilled employees remains, as is common at small, mid-sized and large companies throughout the nation. As the COVID-19 pandemic has been especially challenging on employees, Crystal Equation recognizes the need for work-life balance. All employees are provided with the equipment and access necessary for remote work, and employees are not expected to work more than 40 hours per week. Crystal Equation also hosts a variety of staff enrichment activities, while actively soliciting feedback from all levels to improve the work environment. We appreciate this feedback, and as we look ahead, will continue to work closely with staff to ensure clear communication and proper training while actively pursuing new opportunities that promote employee retention.

Pros

It was easy to work for Crystal because they are located in Chicago, IL. and I was able to understand the recruiter. Starting pay was fair. My recruiter worked quickly to secure my position with a telecom provider. I was able to work remotely.

Cons

I never heard from my recruiter after I got the job. Only person I ever talked with was the admin person. I was told I could request a pay increase after 1 year of work and that was a lie. My request was denied and the only person I ever had contact with regarding a pay increase was the Admin Support person. I wasn't able to present my case for an increase in pay. As it was I was working OT without getting compensated because the client did not allow OT, yet the job required it frequently. They provide no holiday pay. They provide no paid vacation days, even after I'd been with them for a year. They do have a health plan and a 401k but don't offer any match on the 401k, so basically no paid benefits. Let me just say that I worked for TEK Systems in the past. TEK stayed in contact with their contractors on a monthly basis. I could call and talk to my recruiter whenever I needed. The recruiter got together with his contractors every other month and took us out for lunch and asked for feedback... how things were going.... any complaints, concerns etc. At Christmas we went out to lunch, received a card thanking us for all our work and a small present. I got paid holidays and vacation after a year of working for them. I got time and a half for overtime. TEK appreciated their contractors. I never got the feeling that Crystal Equation appreciated anything. When my contract was terminated by the client, they never even thanked me for all the work I did for them.
