I could write a novel on the downsides. The management was rude and condescending, and took your time availability as a suggestion rather than a statement. I was supposed to only work 3 days a week, yet somehow I was scheduled for 5. I’m a full time student so this was very overwhelming. The managers also love to breathe down your neck, and are quick to put you down for doing one thing wrong, even though you have done 99% of things correctly. They also make you take sit down tests of the food and bar menu despite this place being extremely casual. They were also known to fire and hire people very quickly, as I saw 5 servers leave in one month due to management. Customers were often regulars and were sure to wish me good luck as even they knew this place was very volatile with staff. The uniforms were also so uncomfortable for a serving job, being a black long sleeve button down and jeans. Myself and many other employees got fired for reasons beyond our control, like management not scheduling correctly, or lack of enthusiasm to be treated terribly everyday.
