What can you expect? For starters they’ll mention the bonus scheme but don’t worry about that, it’s not been paid since 2020 (unless you are executive level, who seem to get a bonus regardless! See the gender pay gap .gov website for more). Career progression is very hit or miss depending on who your line manager is, and if your face fits. Training again is very hit or miss, but on the whole there is basically zero training budget. There is a strong blame culture, and the only thing that really matters here is output and back orders. If you raise a safety or quality concern that stops shipment, be ready for the Spanish Inquisition. You’ll ultimately be overridden anyway, safety and quality are not Corins main priorities.
Finally communication. Don’t expect to be kept in the loop with regards to business performance, P&L, targets and adherence to metrics.
