Pros

A few coworkers made the job tolerable.

Cons

Pay is below market, and raises are insignificant. No career development, no training, and promotions are almost impossible. Micromanagement is suffocating. Leadership doesn’t trust staff to do their jobs. Workload is overwhelming while contributions go unrecognized and unappreciated. Company is actively replacing US-based employees with South African hires while pushing out existing US based staff. Ever since private equity bought this company out, the work culture has diminished as the pressure to squeeze more work from an overworked staff to marginally improve profits became the main focus.
