      -make your own schedule -salary is consistent during training and typically increases after -frequent helpful meetings to discuss how to improve -don’t have to deal with customers

      Cons

      -looking at a computer for long periods of time -has impossible standards for completing training -can only take a 10 minute break before you’re forced to take a 30 minute break even if you don’t want to -very tiring and boring -if you schedule yourself from 1-5 you don’t leave at 5, you leave when you’ve done 4 hours of work and anytime you stop typing takes away from your time. so basically if you want to leave at 5, you have to constantly type for 4 hours straight with no breaks

      Thank you for the feedback! The job certainly involves a lot of time spent at a computer. Since our clients expect us to be familiar with the terminology and lingo of their industries, there is definitely a learning curve. As well, our clients expect a fast turnaround time on their transcriptions. So all of our scheduling is based on knowing how much time our transcriptionists are committing to work. It sounds like perhaps we could or should have set up your schedule differently to have been better for you.

      Almost impossible to meet bonus requirements. Bathroom breaks ruin your schedule adding another 30 minute block to what you had planned.

      Thank you for your honest feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed our unparalleled schedule flexibility while you worked with us but would like to discuss the complaints you voiced. Every member of management has the ability to make exceptions (within reason) to the break policy at their discretion. In making your schedule, it is possible and even encouraged to schedule 30-minute breaks into your day to allow time for stretching, getting water, using the bathroom, etc. Enhanced Pay is possible for everyone we hire, and we do our best to set clear goals and give all employees the training and resources needed to achieve productivity.

That's great! However, we are also sorry to hear that you found the job monotonous, and we understand that it's not a job for everyone. Your other comment was that our break policy was less than ideal, and I am pleased to report that we have rolled out fantastic changes on that front. I assume that there was an auto-correct issue and you meant Sarasota rather than Singapore as we do not hire outside of the states of Florida or Georgia, let alone overseas. We love hearing that you enjoyed our unparalleled scheduling flexibility, the financial education you naturally get by transcribing with us, our relaxed, friendly office culture, and that you would recommend us to others (especially college students)! We're sorry to hear that you're having carpal tunnel issues and that you were less than pleased with our break policy. We absolutely recommend wrists stretches and setting up your work station to maximize your comfort level and allow for sustainable typing. We offer paid breaks and just ask that they are monitored and kept to a reasonable amount, as most/all companies do, which 4% absolutely allows for. If you consider returning in the future, we would be happy to discuss that policy with you more in depth. We're pleased that you enjoyed our unparalleled scheduling flexibility, relaxed office culture, and friendly management, but sorry that you were left with a negative view of our pay and break policy. Our break policy has been updated to allow for more freedom with breaks, but like all companies, we expect that our employees monitor their own breaks and keep them to a reasonable level. Our compensation policy is fair and competitive, but it is production-based and therefore not for everyone. With pay bumps tied to speed, accuracy, tenure, and hours worked per pay period, our employees can earn over $13/hour. However getting there takes consistent effort and being self-motivated, as well as using the resources given during the initial training and the progress reviews by management. We appreciate that time that you spent with us in our Tallahassee facility and hope that the remainder of 2020 treats you well. Thanks again for the feedback!

      Great option for students looking for part-time work

      The job is quite straightforward. You listen to audio recordings from clients and type it out following the CBS guidelines. Your first few weeks are training so you get used to the environment and rules. I worked there during the summer and the freezer was stocked with ice cream so after my shift I'd leave with one. Pretty sweet. I also liked that you can look at your stats online through their login. Makes gauging your pay easier. The minimum you're asked to work I believe is 16 hours a week.

      Cons

      It's quiet and a bit soul-less in there. Everyone is on their own computer typing things out. Also their break system is a bit wack. I worked there last year and the policy then was a 9.4 minute break for every 4 hours you worked I believe. Like dang, not even a whole 10 minutes?
