      Not a better place to be but rather a deceptive place to be

      Pros

      If you love coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, cappuccino, tea, you can have as much of this as your heart desires!

      Cons

      A small, growing bank that has individuals who have been there from the beginning heading major positions, but are not qualified to do so. There are A LOT of Chiefs at the top beating the drum of their own tune and unwilling to change their ways to better the organization if it means them having to change. You will witness lending deals where a customer's name and status dictate what is written in a loan, what is left out or what is fluffed up. Very unethical wheeling and dealing. There is enormous favoritism among customer's and what gets done or what doesn't based upon their reputation/status/stake in the surrounding towns/ what family they are associated to, etc. Same holds true internally. There are a lot of things behind the scenes that are plain wrong, unethical and nothing is confidential. This is anything but a better place to be. ConnectOne is the deceptive place to be. Smoke and mirrors.

      Good commute, sometimes get out of the office.

      Cons

      Lack off leadership from real estate lending Director. Leaving employees bewildered, scared and unmotivated. Unfortunate that a bully mentality still exists.

      I can't really think of any

      Lack of communication, career advancement and empathy. The worst company I have ever been a part of. Almost every employee complains about the culture of the bank. There is so much favoritism and nepotism here, it should be illegal. Please do your self a favor and do not work here, the starting salary my look attractive but it's only to use you as a slave. In addition, they manage using the fear factor "if you don't do it.. you will lose your job" type of deal. Also, as mentioned in some reviews most of these "positive" reviews of the bank are fake. I can tell you first hand, because they have asked me to do so!! Very tacky! They need everything!
