Pros

Compensation and benefits are good. Technology and quality of the hearing aids is excellent. Dedicated and professional employees can be found - if sought - in the field teams (they are rare however).

Cons

Where to start? Every negative review on this board is mostly accurate. Influence from the European parent company - Sonova - is the staring issue. From there, the Senior leadership - past and present - is 100% incompetent and unprofessional. They have aggressively run off every quality middle to senior executive level position that has been a potential game-changer over the past 2-3 years. There is no culture of professionalism and respect, just cliques and back-stabbers. Gossip and negativity runs rampant and is encouraged...as is devisiveness (read review below about DUIs). There is no career progression path, nor is there any clear and professional process for upward mobility. The HR department is the worst I have seen in 20+ years, and is a primary catalyst for the poor culture. Many of the positive reviews on this board are from HR employees trying to curb the justified negative press on this board.

Pros

Used to be great. Can't believe I wrote a positive review when I first started here. It used to be all about patients and helping people stay connected. Now if an elderly client has no money and I sell them lesser priced instruments, I am disciplined. Told I should have signed them up for care credit or let them walk.

Cons

This is truly a culture of fear. The CEO, VP of sales, and two out of three district vice president were all fired. So was the VP of HR that really cared about people. This company has the worst staff turnover ever and now I see why. If you are even considering working there, ask them what their turnover rate is. Not going to lie… I'd rather sell out of Sam's Club or Costco. At least we can give people with no money a solution and not get yelled at for it. Oh, and by the way there is no marketing. The only guy who did any work for us at all quit. Finally, someone with a conscience at corporate.

Pros

Decent wage, PTO Time patients are nice. Good product

Cons

micro management, company does not know what they are doing, constantly changing the way things are done, unrealistic expectations, HR, are bullies and useless Regional directors are dishonest. marketing is non existant, you are expected to drive your own referals, pay for things out of your own pocket, when business is slow and referrals are not coming the office and specialists are to blame, upper management has no clue about the hearing industry or patient care, hostile work enviorment, daily email of how the regions and your offices do not measure up. regionals come in and looks at your files while staff sits there and has to account for every appointment if there was not a purchase then it discussed on how you failed and its all our fault. nothing constructive is ever given, or asked how we can be supportive, its sell or else!
