Pros

Family atmosphere, increasing access to better technology, access to some executive level managers

Cons

No room for advancement unless you happen to be in the right area. Ability to make top level commissions depends entirely upon the area in which you work and the partners to which you are assigned. Management is incentivized to sell, therefore the company incentivizes them to be selfish and to compete with their sales reps within their own territory. No real leadership at the Sales Manager position as most are more concerned about making money, hitting their numbers and getting their rewards.

Pros

There used to be a very family feel to the company and while there were many strategic directional changes (zig-zag mindset) and changing objectives, everyone worked for the good of the company. Salaries are in line with market rates.

Cons

Since acquisition by BenefitMall the entire culture has changed, morale is very low and they have become little more than a small 'payroll' division in an insurance-centric organization. Strategic decisions go against what most original or long-term employees think. Benefitmall seem to think (very arrogantly) that because they used to have a very small payroll application they know how to run a large, multi-state complete payroll and tax-filing organization. - All execs have left along with many other directors/managers and regular staff now departing. - Departments have been eliminated or downsized with long serving employees let go (with poor severance). - Many/most current employees are looking elsewhere or are scared about their position being moved to Dallas or terminated, etc... - Management occasionally fly in (usually from Dallas), have closed door meetings and leave with zero interaction or show of support. - Even little things like annual company BBQ or other activities have ceased.
