Best place I've ever worked

Pros

Working for TCC has been one of the best experiences of my career. Hard work — everyone's, no matter your level or time with the company — is acknowledged and rewarded by peers and upper-level management, including the executive team. Even during times of massive growth and change, the executive team is accessible and communicative. Questions and suggestions are always welcome; the people on the ground can share input that is truly heard and valued by management, because everyone matters here. While it may not be a pro for everyone, the ability to work remotely is great. More than the freedom to work in your sweats, no one is breathing down your neck — managers treat staff with respect and trust. It's not about rushing out work to hit KPIs; it's about doing good work and being able to become a more capable [insert your job title here] while you do it. Support is always available; all you need to do is ask. The environment is similar to a startup's, but the comp structure, benefits and flexibility are much more mature, so it's the best of both worlds for someone who is self-motivating and can work well as part of a team that isn't physically together at all times.

Great place to be a developer

Pros

Having worked for startups and larger software engineering companies over 20 years, my position at the Community Company is my favorite to date. Everyone within the company has been great to work with and I haven't had to deal with internal power struggles like I have had to at other places. Communication is very open as is collaboration between different parts of the business. We are given the freedom to create great software and digital products and I feel supported by the management to make sure we create quality output. Also, I feel respected as a worker who also has a family life and when family issues come up from something as small as needing to pick up my daughter early from school or something much larger, the company has always been understanding and accommodating. This is a place I feel I can grow within for a long time.
