Pros

CAI offers flexible work schedules, good benefits and excellent work-life balance. It is nearly impossible to be terminated from this organization.

Cons

Little accountability and much inequity have bred resentment in the organization. Pay is low and morale is also. A real silo effect is operating here, and a number of employees are actively seeking work elsewhere.

Pros

None that I can think of...

Cons

On the surface this company seems to be a happy working environment full of puppies, sunshine, and all around smiles. However under the surface there lurks a grim PC environment that harbors a level of human depravity that nightmares are made of.

New leadership has turned a great place to work into just another J.O.B.

Pros

There are still some really great and knowledgeable people and some vestiges of the culture left behind from the previous CEO. Some pockets of the organization may still be good - for now.

Cons

I am sad to report that the issues brought up in the previous review have only gotten worse. When I joined, this was a place where most people had been at CAI for 10-25 years. We valued development, retention, internal promotion and this built a place that had great long-standing relationships and deep institutional knowledge; where good people stayed because they loved working here. That concept has been discarded by the new regime for typical burnout culture, executive overreach, toxic backbiting, and cronyism. Good people are either being forced out (due to petty beefs and mindless wage reduction) or leaving of their own accord - and this process has only begun. This is not just internal - there are key business and volunteer relationships that have been put in great jeopardy by current leadership's conduct and decisions. This very successful and prestigious organization will soon be unrecognizable and not for the better.
