Pros
At this restaurant, there is typically no shortage of work. You will not have to fight for a shift. Moreover, administration provides you with plenty of opportunities to learn and advance into higher-paying positions. For instance, you can attend cocktail, flambé, and hospitality classes to show your commitment and interest in being promoted.
Cons
This place runs like a factory. While management will attempt to make you feel as though you are family, you are in reality just a cog in a rusty old machine. Management and owners desperately need to reevaluate what steps of service they are prioritizing and what they are not. In my opinion, the most difficult aspect of this restaurant were the coworkers. Most of the employees there are extraordinarily unhappy, and will take it out on you. Management preaches teamwork, but acts like they are too good to do the unfavorable work like running trays or bussing tables. Moreover, higher ups take family meal and sodas out of your already small hourly pay. HR complaints will not be taken seriously, especially if they are "against" someone with seniority. This place is a great temporary gig, but be cautious not to get stuck there.
