Pros

The pay is generally good

Cons

Its like working for the mafia. There are a tight group of employees who have risen through the ranks from low unqualified positions to quite senior ones (including he MD). No-one in any senior position understands a proper design process. Consequently thy make simple mistakes with huge financial consequences. People at the sharp end on ite are expected to work stupid hour to eliminate these mistakes. Instead of employing 2 people for 40 hours they prefer to have one doing 80 hours. Expect to sacrifice your family to work here. Most men are divorced or with multiple marriages. It's a boys club.

Pros

Great place to be a high level executive, as you can make poor decisions and be promoted. Example Sign a long lease for new facility in Mexico where company makes no money or loose loads of money for BU to only be promoted and moved to Italy. Also note If your Italian I belive you have a job for life .

Cons

Had a team of all great people only to be told by HR I had to have low performers when performing plm reviews. it's just the way the plm system is. Very little work life balance it's nothing to work 60 plus hours per week .

Pros

Salaries structure is good. whats on paper, most of it is saved. fooding, transportation is all in comau cost. this does not appear in ctc (some companies include this to bloat your CTC figure). salaries are always on time. since prospective employees are reluctant to join, high hikes (upto 30-50%) are offered (you need to be patient though, sometimes for almost months). transportation facility is good. food is good. but no hotels in vicinity.

Cons

horrible hr. Suppressive is actually a compliment. Useless employee satisfaction scheme. As they say, ITS A LALA CHAAP COMPANY. you get troubled a lot when you resign. for example, even though your offer letter will say 3 months of notice period and negotiable, you cannot leave before 3 months. they hold your PF if you join any of the listed companies (some of which have turnover even less than a crore). leaves cannot be availed in resignation period- so if you are sick, come to office and sleep over it. if you have the guts to take skip office, it will be without pay, on top of this, your notice period gets extended by the number of days you skipped office. needless to say, this amount you will have to pay (from pl or against full and final settlement) your work profile does not matter. people have been transferred from design to almost all departments. Judging a fish on its ability to climb a tree is the norm here. people are hired and promoted based on their years of experience not on their credibility. employees are selected on basis of "WHO WANTS THE LEAST MONEY". so your colleague could be from a field which you might have not even heard off HR attitude is hopeless. basically, they are doing you a favor that you are being paid and you should not feel sad that you have do the work that they are supposed to be executing. proceedures are as a mockery. no one follows them and if you do, you are the fool. its a different thing that the departmental presentations are full of compliances to proceedure and extended illustrations how proceedures are helpfull.
