Pros

Amazing and talented staff for the most part. Good facilities such as the canteen and gym. Good portfolio and history with a lot of potential for great games. The company was once great, suffered some ups and down and is currently striving to revive it's old flame...

Cons

Some prehistoric senior staff that are set in their ways or worse appear to have no interest in their duties or the ongoing projects. Higher management is either blind or unaware of the lack of leadership and initiative under them. Project planning and production is mediocre at best except when it comes to mandating overtime and organising takeaway orders. 20 year old tech with so much technical debt Greece would be laughing. Some subtle bullying, special treatment and pressure to work overtime with complete disregard for the root causes. No transparency or sharing between studios : sometimes even seems like a form of rivalry/pride to make the better game/tech.

Soulless and deflating

Pros

You get to work on well-known titles. Lovely location. Great Canteen. Onsite Gym. Free minibus to/from Leamington.

Cons

A soulless company whose senior directors rule by fear. Anybody with any backbone has long left or disappeared without warning. The middle management now comprises of yes-men/women whose decision making is based purely on appeasing directors and keeping their jobs. Double standards, hypocrisy and unfulfilled promises are the norm. Communication throughout the company is non-existent. A gaming company should be fun, vibrant and creative, Codemasters is none of these. Most of the best reviews on here look suspiciously fake.
