Pros

CEO and CTO are smart people. The robots generally work.

Cons

COO only values people with military backgrounds and is extremely allergic to dissent. I've seen people get fired effectively for disagreeing with him. He also likes to bring in his military buddies regardless of skill or talent (some of them have not been smart people at all). COO was an intern at a financial institution and has no real management, sales, or engineering experience but loves to flaunt his Harvard MBA and pretend that makes him respectable. Sales stagnated during the time when he started and I left the company.

Thank you for the honest review. As the cofounder, I'm sad that we didn't live up to your expectations, and completely respect that 2019 and the first half of 2020 were very hard years for Cobalt and the team, including a lot of deep cuts and cultural shifts we had to make, and our COO helped guide us through. Since then, we've emerged faster and stronger - we can deploy to new customers faster than ever before, and our number of robots deployed has more than doubled. I can certainly guarantee that me and my cofounder are still 110% committed :)

Pros

It would've been 5 stars a year ago or so but that has changed. I joined a company with top-notch engineering talent, a collaborative culture, righteous values, and the opportunity to do hard things in the robotics space. That all went away when they hired a wannabe COO with no proven experience to run the company. If you're sensitive to risk then it might be worth joining, just go in with eyes open! But if you have military background, you're safe!

Cons

The COO has been on a layoff spree since he joined. Yes, I said the COO because the CEO just lets him do as he pleases and doesn't have the heart or backbone to take hold of his company. The COO clearly bring in his cronies, throws everyone else on the scrap heap, gets rich, and is just looking for his next move.

Pros

This place is great if you want to be a warm body in a chair that will poke you and draw your blood (Not a Joke!!!), you will learn how to keep 99% automated surveillance roombas from spinning around when confused or stuck on stuff. Besides that if you like doing a crap job and do not take pride in your work and like being treated like trash and never having any type of support. Go for it!

Cons

If you have any sort of disability or show that you are intelligent they will fire you without warning notice or any type of concern for you. You will be forced to be in video chat room calls with 5-20 people at all times and there is no code of conduct or manager who will shut down offensive or inappropriate conversation no matter what the subject is and people will ignore your questions and shun you or indirectly insult you. All the positive reviews here are fake and blatant astro-turfing They will not give you any of the tasks outline within your job description but they will give you the work of 3 people and if you ask any questions you will be ignored and receive no response to emails but they will call you and set up 9am meetings for you even if you are a grave yard shift employee and they will fire you with no warnings no write ups and no reason just because you ask how you can use your skills to the fullest extent.
