Pros

Pros include a noble mission, some caring attorneys, healthcare, and some friendly coworkers.

Cons

You are expected to work on Saturdays at a chaotic and understaffed makeshift legal clinic. High turnover which leads to displacement of professional responsibilities and confused clientele. Problematic leadership (was under third party investigation last time I checked) & toxic work environment. Inadequate resources for staff to perform job duties successfully. I am convinced that my fellow staff who still work at CHIRLA are either blindly devoted to the mission or have Stockholm Syndrome at this point.
