Amazing Second Family!!!

Pros

Club OS is like my second family. When things get hard, the people get me through and make me want to stay. We are growing and I hope we continue to keep this closeness. Things can be fast and furious so you need to be flexible. Everyday keeps me on my toes, stops me from getting bored, and forces me to keep improving. I have grown so much as a person and as a professional in my time here. Club OS has been amazing at recognizing and rewarding employees who excel. We are in the middle of reorganizing the departments and adding more leadership. I'm excited about the improvements to come and have already felt like we have become better. The snacks, flexibility/understanding, Friday lunches, and monthly team building happy hours are on point! ;)

Cons

Club OS has the bad habit of keeping negative employees around too long which creates a false sense of entitlement in those employees. I think this is changing since we have recently let these people go.

Club OS is a Sinking Ship: Correct Now or You'll Capsize.

Pros

Not much in terms of positive attributes. Some of the coworkers are nice and the company is good at providing snacks.

Cons

The company is a mess. Corporate upper management is completely disconnected from those in charge of the Austin office. All semblance of corporate culture is gone and instead, the office is run as a boot camp, with extreme micromanaging, and over-the-top expectations with no room for mistakes or failure. Local leadership has no formal education or background in leadership and in fact, middle management is simply friends of the local directors. Not only does the fact that middle management is hired from directors' friends from outside the company create rampant in-group thought and an oppressive workspace, but this leaves every other worker no room to grow or move up. In fact, accomplishments are never acknowledged but every mistake is absolutely magnified. These concerns cannot be taken anywhere in the company because there is no formalized HR department, so issues like this are simply never brought up or brushed aside due to in-group thinking.

Good Culture, Low Pay

Pros

Club OS, and by extension its parent company Evercommerce, encourage company culture. They designate monthly "culture club" money that goes to team events, paid lunches, and happy hours. If you like paid team events then you'll love Club OS. The company holds monthly all-team meetings which keep you in the loop on the company's revenue health and initiatives. All-in-all, a great place to work if you're interested in the fitness industry or like company culture.

Cons

Club OS tends to offer lower salaries and is reluctant to give decent raises, especially for positions outside of the engineering or account management teams. Club OS is a subsidiary company to Evercommerce, which means your job feels a little less secure as EC will choose to make cuts at the lower companies first. Additionally, Evercommerce is in a perpetual state of structural reorganization so you'll find the chain of command is constantly shifting throughout the larger organization. One day, your team reports to some guy in Denver then the next day that guy's gone and you never speak to him again.
