Pros

-Stock can be worth if this company IPOs in the next 10 years. Highly unlikely though. -Flexible work from home arrangement, you can come in at 11am though will work past midnight on most occasions due to it being a US company

Cons

-Toxic and political work environment, lots of favoritism and aversions to transparency and honesty -Inexperienced people managers across the organization globally -No empowerment in local/regional markets to run projects and make decisions -Managers will make you overpromise company and career growth to every single candidate, let the business deal with them after they join -Micromanagement and unrealistic expectations on KPIs/targets across all areas of the business -Hire and fire attitude is rampant which means a lot of attrition and a disgruntled workforce -Everything bad you read about Uber previously without any of the lessons or learnings -Business model is unlikely to take off and will remain money losing for a very long time

Pros

- Coworkers can be really intelligent and passionate - Pay and equity can be decent depending on seniority in tech (but offers are usually less competitive than other companies)

Cons

- Toxic culture, people are constantly fearful of their jobs and place in the company, everything about Uber 2.0 is true - Stealth, so you can't tell people about what you do and Upper Management can run the company however it wants - Extremely low morale - Very little transparency, extremely silo'd - Mismanaged, most managers are first time managers and completely clueless and inept - Bonus program managed to offend absolutely everyone - Most employee churn I have ever seen - Zero investment in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training - People worship Travis, anyone who doesn't is seen as an outsider - Zero upwards mobility, no interest in helping employees grow or invest in their careers - Equity program is a joke. no intention of going public or getting out of stealth mode anytime soon - Recruiters lie to you constantly during the interview process, an absolute train wreck of a hiring process and committee - Literally no HR, no way to report inappropriate behavior
