Pros

Free lab work, good health benefits. The warehouse and IT folks are amazing. They were the best people in the entire building. Catered breakfast at morning PD meetings.

Cons

The will never value you or your work. They only promote people based on who's friends with who. If you're friends with the boss you get away with everything. Even clocking in from home and not really doing anything at all. Time clock theft much? Poor management- your supervisor is either inept and constantly making bad decisions, or they are incapable of actually making decisions so they hide instead of lead. or both. Don't expect to get paid what you are worth. They require a degree and a certification but pay you less than you need to pay you loans for said degree and certification. HR are bullies. Plain and simple. Nothing in is confidential. If you go in with an issue they will tell your supervisor and you will be treated worse than you already were. And this is after HR treats you like crap for inconveniencing them with your problem in the first place. Add that to the fact that you can rarely find them because they are always out to lunch. No one in your department can take a day off with it seriously impacting you. Some days I would be there until 7 at night (after getting there at 8) because there would be so much extra work to do. Thats how poorly managed the departments were, and they ALL affect each other. Supervisors do not care and will smile in your face when they leave at 4. Half of the employees are moral inept. They will steal your food, dishes, everything out of the break room. They have absolutely no respect. Lazy, incompetent employees are never let go and you are EXPECTED to pick up their slack. But don't expect any compensation or a thank you. Also, because they pay so poorly many employees will ride the clock and drag the work out to get more hours. Which will in turn make your day longer than it needs to be.

Pros

Good entry level job where you can get your professional feet on the ground. If you make friends with your boss, sometimes your schedule can be flexible.

Cons

Management is horrendous, you can get fired if you refuse to be friends with the boss on Facebook. Pay is okay, but you will only get a 2 percent raise, max, every year. (They say you can a 3 percent raise, if you go above and beyond the call of duty, simply doing your job well is not enough to get a 3 percent raise at this company.) Opportunity for advancement in the company is pretty bleak, you can maybe move up one spot, but after that you are going to be stuck there for about 12 years in the same spot, and I know people who are currently in that position.

Pros

*The work is neverending, therefore you spend a LOT of time with your coworkers. This being said, your coworkers are like family. * I gained some lab experience to get a REAL job.

Cons

* Pay is pitiful for the amount of time/work you put into this place * Little to no appreciation of employees * No change where change is needed. There is no continuous improvement in place. * SOS (Same Old Sh*t) every single day. Work is very mind numbing with little to no chance of advancement. * Promotions based on tenure, not competence. * The hardest I ever worked in my life was at this place. You can't leave when you've put in your 8 hours. You MUST stay until the work is done. * The stressful high paced work environment and lack of a good home/life balance wears on people and creates drama and fights on coworkers.
