Pros
Veteran owned for those who would like that dynamic. Some of the Lt's and Captains I've worked with were Veterans and we swapped all kinds of stories. The work is fairly simple when post orders are drafted.
Cons
Not every assignment has post orders to dictate position specifics. This is due to the assigned location's management not passing down the required information. This results in relying exclusively on word of mouth, often over the phone with the Captain, and hoping all the relevant details are being relayed and there's no fine print. The pay raise going from officer to Lt in an unarmed post is about $0.50. This often makes further locations not worth it. You must be "flexible" which essentially means being on call in case someone calls out forcing someone to take on an extra 8-12 hour shift.
