Pros

Really can’t think of any... Sometimes you could really help a caller. Majority of calls were parents in custody disputes wanting to rail about the other parent. Once in a while you actually got to help a child.

Cons

Fraudulent front for two has-been actresses and a top heavy management team who take home 6 figure incomes. While those that really try to help are under appreciated and very under paid. It’s just a cesspool that puts on the front of helping, but in reality, just shuffles things around and takes your money.

Pros

Chance to impact the lives of children to whom I have dedicated my professional life, some truly devoted staff with good intentions, gorgeous grounds, nice facilities

Cons

Money mismanagement, lack of investment in primary revenue source (the villages), poor training, previously overindulged veteran staff drive down morale with constant complaining, internal bickering, and gossip, questionable therapeutic and academic practices in the clinical and educational realm that are unable to be changed due to fearful culture and silencing by senior management at national headquarters when those within are seeking to cooperate transparently with licensing, job threats, mysterious hirings and firings, discombobulated management at villages, national management intent primarily on self advancement or resume building, and no end in sight to the problems.

Pros

Not a lot of Pro's

Cons

They lie to get people to work there. They say that theses children are abused. Some of these children are placed here by parents. They fail to mention that this is actually a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. They drill into these children that they have rights but, they neglect to tell these children that everyone has these rights. They say it's a family style environment. I have never seen a family takes allows their children to beat one another up. Sling feces at each other. They beat, kick, scratch, lie on staff and management says that the children do this because they are hurting. The things that go on there are actually unbelievable. There is 2 staff for every four children.
