Health Concerns and Mismanagement

Pros

The schedule is somewhat flexible

Cons

Complete disarray of management (no manager is on the same page, and none of them communicate with each other to remedy this, CEO has far too much input into things he’s paying the managers to look after and is a big micromanager, etc.) Getting a raise is unlikely at best (former designer had to argue with management over getting a raise after over 5 years of service, former machinist quit because management refused to pay him properly for his skills, same happened with a more recent machinist) (if you do get a raise, expect to have it held over your head by management during meetings) The entire shop building where most of the people work is exposed to G10 dust, which is horrible for your lungs, and can cause cancer, on top of building up in your airways, and management refuses to do anything about it, even going so far as to have some of the shopworkers research ventilation just to not do anything about it (this is a common theme with many things here, an employee survey was sent out as well and nothing came of it. It’s been several months) One manager in particular is too immature to even look you in the eye when you bring him a topic so serious as compensation, opting instead to laugh to himself without even looking at you

Please note that this review contains false information. It was submitted by an employee who was dissatisfied with his role and walked off the job. CheckSum prides itself on recognizing talented employees. Those who meet or exceed expectations do receive pay increases, occasional spot bonuses and are promoted from within. Furthermore, we address any and all health concerns with our employees. Every employee has access to the necessary PPE and training. Our manufacturing processes do not expose employees to any cancerous agents. We purchased new equipment with an attached vacuum system to eliminate any dust particles and this employee was aware of that purchase as they were often consulted on the system configuration, we were designing with the system supplier. I would also like to note that the machines are in an isolated room away from the rest of the production floor and therefore it is highly unlikely that anyone other than the machinist would be exposed to any level of dust.
