      Chavez Foundation - the good / the bad / the ugly

      Pros

      Organization with strong beliefs for its members. 100% paid benefits for employees which is a great thing.

      Cons

      The salaries are a bit compressed due to being a non-profit. Leadership needs to stop being a bunch of yes men/women to the CEO. It's okay to have a different opinion and not be crucified for it. As well, with the Foundation being a family run organization, the immediate family is tarnishing the legacy of Cesar Chavez with it's infighting and constant internal bashing of one another. The CEO has unlimited power and will terminate you if you cross him or disagree with him.

      Pros

      Employee benefits, exposure and experience, flexible work environment, no pressure to perform. Job openings, high turnover.

      Cons

      No training, no company organization, inefficient company structure. Staff pool is sub par. Weak management, weak leadership. Ego driven work environment, not a team environment. Executive management has no conscience. Getting rich off overworked staff. Poor compensation, high staff turnover from burnout. No corporate support. Corrupt corporate structure. Extremely low salaries.
