This is a company divided. Simply stated, you have the Cisco side of the business and the Microsoft side. There is obvious favoritism between the two businesses, and it should not be that way. There is promotion from within, but only if you are an inexperienced, whining, complaining manager. This company seriously has an issue of having too many mid-level managers/directors and not enough people who actually work/sell! If you're a sales person who can't hit your number... have no fear! Complain about it and they will give you a promotion.
People love pointing fingers at who did what wrong. They don't focus on development or moving forward.
