Pros

Good colleagues, Great Location, Exciting Technology,

Cons

IMPULSIVE DECISIONS FROM MANAGERS TERRIBLE SALARY/COMP HIGH CHURN W CUSTOMERS & EMPLOYEES. THEY LEAVE AFTER 1 YEAR, NOT GOOD FOR LONG TERM When I accepted a sales position, I thought I was going to be working for a mature technology company that cared about its employees. I was lied to, mislead and found myself working for 45k an year in an unstructured sales team with no proper leadership. Toxic workplace, passive aggressive managers with no respect for personal life. Management has no vision and no strategy for growth Lack of transparency. Be careful of voicing your concerns. They will let you go if they see that you have any concerns. They just want you to be a puppet Compensation is low, not competitive to other companies in the same area Upper management doesn't trust their own people, when they want something, they acquire new companies. -Upper management doesn't care about the people Health Insurance is expensive, HR is a joke, DO NOT TRUST HR, THEY DO NOT HAVE YOUR BACK, HR’s favorite saying is "But here in Sweden, it is this way" Stock Options are non-existent, you have to wait 3 years to be able to own stocks Company Culture is nonexistent, Management does nothing to promote culture or hold events for employees. All of Sweden office takes PTO same time, in the summer shutting down operations for 2 weeks. Promotions are based on your spending time with, its an good ol’ boys club mentality, you have to suck up to Erik G, Hector M and Gusten to move up.

Pros

Some people are amazing to work with, decent travel opportunities for the right role

Cons

As others have also mentioned, cellink is a company that is young and became too big too quickly. Management make poor, impulsive decisions based on short term goals, and they end up releasing products that look flashy but are functionally bricked. Another reviewer said that HR's favorite statement is "in Sweden we do it like this" and that is 100% true. It's a massive problem when most of your employees have to fight with HR for "little" things like a livable wage or working less that 10 hour days. The work culture is awful. There is no respect for personal time. Employees are pushed into whatsapp groups that constantly ping night and day. If you are told to drop everything and make something happen you better do it, even if it's the weekend, and even though overtime pay doesn't exist. Management is full of micromanaging egoists who only care about $$$ for their shareholders. The recent expansion at cellink has seen middle managers inserted everywhere. It's a common enough problem, but there is such a poor company structure that it's impossible to get anything done. Also forget upward mobility, they'd rather just hire new people into positions above you. The recent massive amount of layoffs and turnover should just go to show they don't care about employees at the bottom of the ladder. This company is not above posting fake reviews or lying to employees and customers so beware what you read (I am aware of the irony). In short, if cellink is a family then I would never talk to (most of) these abusive relatives ever again.

Thank you for your feedback, we are disappointed to hear your experience at Cellink was unfavorable. We do want to ensure a positive employee experience, we are putting in serval HR initiatives to evolve our culture giving our employees a healthy and productive environment to thrive. As a small, growth company the environment is very fast paced and changes rapidly with our growth. While this environment is not conducive to everyone, we do keep the employee well being as a priority.

Pros

Lots of very talented scientists and engineers, a lot of young people eager to make a difference in the field

Cons

This company is extremely disorganized and terrible at internal communication. The company is split between Sweden and the United States, which leads to time difference and culture clashes. Some employees in America are direct reports to bosses in Sweden, which makes everything from daily tasks to critical operation difficult to coordinate. The C-Suite is constantly changing the entire company structure on a whim, and chalking it up to “startup culture” and “growing pains.” This all leads to a very confusing hierarchy and frankly terrible communication across teams. There were large pay gaps between male and female coworkers with the same role and responsibilities, disrespect towards women from male upper management, and little to no opportunity for leadership roles for women. The C-Suite has a problem with micromanaging and does not respect off-days or working hours. The salary and benefits packages are very noncompetitive for the area. Multiple teams are often under tight, often impossible deadlines due to the C-Suite promising product launches and orders before they are ready.
