      Pros

      Only pros are if you are an engineer in a leadership position and have the opportunity to influence product and feature design.

      Cons

      A startup with interesting technology but a very chaotic environment. Very poor project planning and weak to non-existent middle management.

      - Subject matter experts all around to learn from - If the company succeeds in delivering its 1st product, opportunities for professional and financial growth are immense

      Cons

      - Processes for technical management and documentation are still ad-hoc, reminiscent of a younger startup, and need to be updated and formalised to achieve the kinds of things the company is aiming for - Work load is rather unevenly distributed. Established team members are overloaded, and newer employees may be underutilised.

      Great technology at the perfect timing - cannot imagine a better place to be

      Pros

      I took a leap of faith when Photonic Fabric was still just a vague idea and haven't looked back since. It almost feels surreal how fast that vague idea got crystalized into an amazing technology, and it's all owing to tight collaboration within and between the teams and a sense of a common purpose. No personal agendas, no office politics, no hidden intentions. We all get to work on a cutting-edge technology with some of the brightest people in the industry. It's a startup, yet it has a mature management with a clear plan focused on execution. I learned so much along the way and always felt that my contribution is valued. And all that while having fun.

      Cons

      Not a con, but an observation: You need to be very good at time management since teams typically span across multiple time zones.
