Absolute Train-wreck

Pros

They make every attempt to convince you that they care about you as an employee.

Cons

CaseWorthy as a company has absolutely no idea what is going on with its acquired products, no idea how to manage resources, and no idea how to retain talent. They make empty promises about being able to provide additional resources to acquired companies, but then devastate the available resources with massive layoffs masked as “performance issues.” None of the employees that were laid off were low performers. The executives and upper management have absolutely no interest in the care of the employees or the communities the software serves. Their primary goal is unequivocally and unapologetically money. If it weren’t for existing cyber security certifications, entire departments would be outsourced overseas. NOT TO MENTION how absolutely loud and in-your-face they are about their particular religious beliefs. I’ve never in my life been so overwhelmed in a professional environment with religious emphasis from executive leadership. Not only was there an executive meeting that included a visit to one of their religious temples, but the absolute exclusion that was felt by anyone who didn’t share their beliefs as they constantly brought it up in meetings was unbearable. The temple visit was the last straw for me and 100% why I left. There were several times where the former CEO and Aron and Brandon would be fighting and arguing like children. No one wants to follow a leader who can’t cooperate and who aren’t on the same page.

Just Don’t!

Pros

There’s actually a few decent folks that still work here. God bless them!

Cons

High turnover. Don’t get too comfortable with anyone because they either get fired for some absurd reason or people quit the minute they have anything remotely better. This place breeds incompetent leaders who are unwilling to take constructive criticism, and would rather stick their heads in the sand and pretend that everything is working - it’s not. Simple processes take months of discussion only to end up on the “back burner” as management needs to review for the millionth time. Their product is not stable and instead of working on current issues, they’re focused on rolling out new features that no one knows anything about. Communication between teams is a joke with unanswered questions hanging out there in product chat. Hello??! Anyone there? Customers are used to incomplete implementations and support tickets open for months, even years. Yes! You can’t make this stuff up. Word to the wise - if you have any other job option, take it. If not, say a prayer and take advantage of happy hour!

Not a Healthy or Professional Work Environment

Pros

If you're a friend of a member of senior leadership, this could be a good place to work, I guess.

Cons

CaseWorthy was bought by private equity in late 2021 and has since acquired a couple more companies. The people and products have not been successfully integrated in any way, and all focus on employees and customers has fallen off. The goal is explicitly to appear to make more money so the company can be sold again, to the detriment of workforce morale and client engagement. Senior leadership positions are almost exclusively handed out to outside hire friends of the new C suite; if you are looking for career development and a chance for promotion you will not find it here. Anyone at Caseworthy who understands the business needs of the clients is walking away. I saw nothing to give me confidence that the installed leadership team was not in over their heads despite their incredible hubris. Employees are complacent and numb at best; sad and angry at worst. The culture consists of being miserable and saying "phenomenal" a lot.
