Pros

Some big company expertise. Chance to work with different functional teams.

Cons

Toxic culture. You don’t matter. Your nationality matters. Do not expect being treated equally. Certain French envoys even come with a mentality that they are kings and keep disgusting you when you do not make them feel like kings. Uncompetitive package. Offer you a package slightly a bit higher than the market in the beginning and 0 yearly growth afterwards. Obsolete infrastructure, network and systems that largely slow down efficiency. Heavy work process due to inappropriate company structure and hierarchy. Full of talkers and politicians and their “great ambitions”. Rarely you see people get their hands dirty. The very majority present their “great ambitions” and try to have other people work it out. Just as others have commented: Are you a hard worker? Get used to the fact that people doing nothing have just as much money as you do at the end of the month. Do you have ambition? Search elsewhere because there is no future with Carrefour.

Pros

You can learn about everything (by yourself mainly) Even in junior positions, you have the opportunity to lead big teams. It’s a multinacional company based on sistems and processes, then you are gonna learn many things about that.

Cons

They don’t care about people. Carrefour allows very unpleasant and unfair situations at work. There is a huge imbalance between workloads: most workers are overburdened (in all departments) and some have no role. There is too much gap between salaries of people with the same responsibilities. They are usually low wages (taking into account responsibility and workload)
