Not as Bad as They Say

Pros

I love the work. I don't personally work for the paycheck, I work for the residents. Michelle is an amazing DON that will work on the floor as a CNA or nurse. I love how we all work together between therapy, nursing, dietary, and housekeeping. It's a great job that allows many opportunities to expand. They are always able to work on my schedule since I'm in school and can't work as much as I used to. Honestly, I don't see myself leaving the company anytime soon.

Cons

The biggest con is the fact that we are short staffed. But tell me what healthcare profession isn't short? We get a lot of people that act like they are interested but are just there for an easy paycheck but then they learn it's the complete opposite. Then they quit. Or people that leave because it's short but they don't understand that makes us more short. Also, it's tragic how many people have probably overlooked applying to our company because of all these negative posts. Most of these people were probably let go or quit because they were doing something they weren't supposed to or just wasn't doing their job at all. I love this job and I love the people and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Horrible place to work

Pros

There are none. If I could give this place no stars I would!

Cons

Terrible management. Most of them stand around and talk or are on their phones. Play favorites with lazy workers and in turn you get to do their work for them to pick up the slack. Rude to other workers and to residents. Supervisors don't know how to supervise. Have caught them many times in the halls talking bad about other workers to other employees. They put up this front when they know it's time for the state to show up and inspect and then they go back to their old disgusting ways. I have seen residents sit in their own feces for hours. Just don't put yourself through it...it's not worth it.

Doesn't care for the elderly or staff

Pros

Coworkers were fun as well as original management.

Cons

District manager refused to allow remodeling despite corporate's okay. State dinged facility because of this. Corporate's response was to clean house in facility except district manager and hire new people.
