      Tough Industry

      Pros

      High pay scales, flexible hours, a couple of experience and knowledgeable advisors.

      Cons

      The company itself invests next to nothing in you, and your first day put you at a desk with a phone and tell you to get to work. It's mostly up to your sales manager to train you and help you with business practices and phone language. You will be cold calling all day. And expect to pay for your own benefits, rent your cubicle, pay for the software and office supplies, etc.

      An internship that provides a great training program

      Pros

      You get a real hands on look into the insurance business. They do a good job sitting down with you and training you. You do an extra 2 hour training program each Monday in addition to a minimum one hour of various training programs each day.

      Cons

      You don't get paid at all and you work a ton of hours.
