Have a Backup Plan

Pros

I really enjoyed my year with the company, but that had more to do with the people I scheduled than my coworkers and boss. Pay was good, when you are not use to getting paid more than $28,000 a year, $35,000 was amazing! Of course I worked 24/7 on call, but I loved the job.

Cons

Have a back up plan. You might be made to feel like part of the family, but their is NO loyalty to staff. Always have a back up because you never know when you are going to be let go. It’s all on a whim. CEO wants to be adored, he’ll tell you how much he spent on everything because he wants credit and attention. If you are attractive and can deal with the touchy feely you can pretty much do or get whatever you want.

Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate that you have some resentments towards our firm. As you know, while you were employed with us, you were a valued member of our team and did excellent work. Unfortunately, we could not accommodate your request to work from home from another state. Please know that we have always considered you, and other former employees, as part of our family. However, you do bring a good point in that everyone should have a back-up plan. In business, regardless of large or small, nothing is guaranteed. In fact, despite being loyal to its employees, businesses at times have to make tough decisions that are in the best of interest of the Company, and personnel cuts have to be made. Although this was not your case, because you left voluntarily over 2 years ago, know that we still appreciate all your hard work and the time that you devoted to our firm. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. Semper Fi!

Pros

I really cannot think of any...

Cons

This was just a terrible experience from start to finish...overall poor logistical planning, inefficient, low pay, passive-aggressive communication, bad people-management styles. it felt like Caduceus only wanted to hire bodies for the government contract, but did not care about staff performance or satisfaction post-hire. - Recruitment/Hiring: disjointed and unclear to exactly which job I was being recruited for; it seemed that the recruiter didn't know at times, either. There was no clear job description between a clinician (SMP) vs. public health (PHA) position. - Onboarding: I realized this was a very disorganized company. Travel information was not communicated until <24 hr before my flight. Different team members received different instructions regarding online training (I received nothing, and was never told about such trainings). In an all-day training, no lunch was provided when we were told that it would be ahead of time; there was no convenient place to get food surrounding the training site. There were 2 small shuttles used to transport 100+ trainees between the training site & 4 other hotels (we spent hours waiting to be picked up to go from hotel in the morning to the conference center, then to badging office, return to conference center, to background check office, back to conference center, return to hotel). - Day-to-Day: project/site managers were completely hands-off, so they were ill-equipped to address logistical/operational concerns. They were also lacking in personal conflict mediation/de-escalation. Communication through emails were unclear; some were even unprofessional.
