Pros

- This company will be able to show you the basics of digital marketing, which is great for novice marketers or recent college grads... Unfortunately, that's all they can really show you, but more on that later. - Opportunity to take on additional tasks, if you're interested in becoming their "Jack of all trades" (you'll hear that phrase a lot). - Your coworkers will be some of the kindest, most creatively intelligent people you will ever meet. - Unlimited vacation (sort of...) and a fairly flexible work schedule - Laid back work environment, which is nice to an extent - If you enjoy alcohol, you'll get to drink subpar beer during office hours every time management has bad news... So you'll drink a lot. - Conveniently located next to a Jimmy John's and Pizza Hut. Don't sleep on the lunch buffet.

Cons

Where. Do. I. Begin? - I'm actually convinced that Copy Paste Solutions is uninterested in improving. I believe they're comfortable being average and enjoy operating in ignorance. I don't have time to explain their horrible business model, but if you'd like more information, a former coworker of mine was kind enough to elaborate in a previous review they buried with fake positive reviews. - First, their clients are 95% podiatrists, which is why I refer to them as Copy Paste Solutions, because they use the same cheap marketing tricks on every client. There is no originality, no creativity, no strategy. Everything is practically the same. In fact, in some cases, they use the same marketing plan on clients who practice in the SAME CITY! - Copy Paste Solutions has no idea how to report to their clients. In the time I was there, we changed our reporting method at least 4 times. No one is ever on the same page with client communication because of it. You'll actually spend more time trying to understand what's happening with the account, than doing quality work. - Their client onboarding process is in shambles. Getting a new client is so incredibly stressful because no one, not even the COO, knows what's needed to transition a new client. But hey, keep bringing in the low paying clients to overload your employees, that's not your problem, right? - They are incapable of creating a sales funnel, so generating new business (outside of podiatrists) is nearly impossible for them. Which is fine for Copy Paste Solutions, because they LOVE FEET and don't mind signing on clients that pay them in gum. Actually, no. Gum would be an improvement. Trust me, you've never seen a company that does more FREE work than Copy Paste Solutions. So long as the CEO can get her hair done for free, she'll make her already overworked employees build a new website for anyone. No wonder the employees are underpaid. - Oh, I didn't mention pay? Well you didn't miss much, because there's not much to tell. Seriously, if you're looking for long term stability, look elsewhere. You'd be lucky to make over $40k here... Maybe if you stay 10 years, you'll make $40,750. - That brings me to another point, the turn over rate is ridiculously high. I was there 18mo. and saw 12 people leave, including one who was there for only 4 days! Honestly, more than half of their team, including the COO and most of their "Leadership" team, has been with the company for less than 2 years. - Finally, and most importantly, EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL BE MONITORED! The illuminati looks into less than Copy Paste Solutions. You're actually encouraged to record your bathroom breaks and leave a comment on the time entry in their project management system. It's so outrageous that there may be days where you actually spend the same amount of time reporting your work, than ACTUALLY DOING YOUR WORK. There's so much more to say, (nepotism, micromanagement, ignorance, false intelligence, ACTUALLY LYING TO EMPLOYEES ) but I'm sure they're working on "processes" to fix all these issues... (*Insert eye roll emoji*)

Pros

It gets nice natural light to remind you that there's some goodness in the world.

Cons

Hoo boy, these positive reviews make me laugh. All so vague, so optimistic for a better future. Along with others in this thread, I can attest to the fact that CP Solutions wheedles employees into leaving positive reviews because it determines “the quality” of future coworkers (you can guess the real reason why). When one recently departed employee wrote a negative review, it was treated like a five-alarm emergency. You’d have thought someone died. We were called to a meeting and goaded into leaving reviews because it was up to us to create the illusion of a happy workplace, and not for management to actually foster one. This may be the best encapsulation of an environment so toxic that the clocks tick to the sound of a panicking Geiger counter and your dreams are nightly tinted orange by the prospect of a nuclear cataclysm. Let’s get this out of the way, Recent College Grad. This company stalks people like you to exploit you. You’ll be paid less, expected to work longer, and all the while they’ll wish you were more experienced and mature, until soon enough their message of continuous improvement will become a bullying cry that you’re never good enough. This place is a resume builder, nothing more. It’s too inept, and too unbearable, to be more than that. Apply at your own risk, because its reputation in West Michigan is growing worse with every burned former employee, and soon enough having this name at the top of your resume will be as useful as saltwater to a shipwreck survivor. And now let’s go through the names of the games at CP Solutions (for they are legion). Micromanagement is the big momma. We’re talking time tracking down to the minute. Meetings to discuss meetings. Protocols for writing protocols. Training programs on how to train trainers to train trainees. This is a digital marketing agency that offers zero creative autonomy over client accounts. Every account is treated with the same approach whether it makes sense or not, and it’s a monthly chore to explain away useless vanity metrics and upsell even more worthless services. Doctors’ appointments require two weeks’ notice, and if too many people are off, you will be forced to reschedule that appointment. Forced to spend all day in useless meetings? You’ll be scolded for not being 80% billable the next morning. Print in color accidentally? You’ll be scolded for costing the company three cents. But hey, digital agencies can be too crazy sometimes, right? Maybe a little micromanagement is good, keeps things organized. WRONG, reader. Disorganization is rampant. Management concerns itself with internal politics and protocols rather than bothering with important things, like say, getting contracts signed before starting work. Account managers are regularly thrown new accounts that aren’t legally binding, accurately budgeted, or properly strategized. Don’t say you can’t execute one of these plans, though. You’ll be branded a renegade. I was regularly appalled to hear the owner rail against fellow employees behind their backs. She wished to fire more people than she could spare. Due to this deep contempt for her workers, distrust is an enormous problem, and management can’t muster the confidence to delegate responsibility despite its desperate need to do so. I once bluntly suggested that account managers be responsible for handling dissatisfied clients. The response? “They’ll lose the client.” Glad to be onboard, captain! We’ll just get of your way and let you unfurl the sails and cook the meals. We won’t do it right. Yet another good encapsulation of this workplace’s culture: to be asked to do something, only to be told you’re not trusted to do it. These are just a handful of the offenses that form the congealed mass of toxicity at the heart of CP Solutions. They say a full compendium of its crimes against employeekind exists somewhere in this world, but as far as I know, it’s lost in the hearts and minds of scarred ex-employees across the country. And it’s better that way, not to know the full truth. It’s a weight you will carry with you all day, and it follows you home like an impending shadow of doom. There is no finer feeling than knowing I no longer work at this wretched place, haunted by the condescension of nepotistic rulers who don’t know their industry and want to squeeze the last of my spirits into their morning vitamin mix, where the backstabbing and false camaraderie give Stalinist Russia a run for its money. I know you want an agency job fresh out of college, Recent College Grad, but I implore you to listen to reason. There is no honor in employment here. Only pain.

Pros

Employees are young, fresh-faced and start working here with optimism (typically right out of college). Many of the employees are wonderful and kind people. The office is beautiful and has a very open floor plan that is inciting and doesn't make you feel like you're trapped all day while working. Schedule can be flexible based on a little bit of your preference. The work being done by most of the employees is excellent, and is really innovative and exciting to keep up with.

Cons

The amount of work and stress placed on employees is absolutely ridiculous for the benefits and pay. There is little to no training, and you will be thrown into your position and expected to learn all of the policies and procedures immediately (which are also very conflicting, so it makes them hard to learn). Real vacation time does not exist. If you want to take time off, you will need to cram your 40 hours a week into either the days before or after you expect to take off. Management has terrible communication skills and are almost impossible to reason with. If they don'ts like your personality, you will be miserable. Senior management and the CEO are prone to verbal outbursts (a lot of times in front of all the other employees) without any grounds or basis, and will not apologize even after realizing that you are not to blame. Managers do not follow policies or procedures (and often times do not even know what they are) and will send you conflicting instructions, and then will use you as a scapegoat if anything goes wrong. There is no room for personal growth. Even if you have a great idea to bring to the table, it will either be put off by week after week of "we'll talk about it tomorrow," or you will be given no credit for the idea (don't even think about any type of compensation or bonus even though it is often promised as encouragement for new ideas). Clients will be difficult to work with. Some clients are just plain rude, and instead of sticking up for their employees, this company will continuously allow their employees to be mistreated. This along with confusing (and sometimes berating) directions from managers will take its toll on you after a while. Many of the employees are burned out and frustrated to the point of tears several times throughout the week. Turnover is extremely frequent. You will not be able to stand up for yourself, and will be expected to blindly try to decipher what will make management happy from week to week.
