Pros

There are no pros to working here. Which explains the constant job postings and extremely high turnover.

Cons

Management does not care about its employees. They have zero regard for the well being of their staff, which is reflected in the low pay, poor benefit coverage, and lack of opportunity for advancement. If there is an open position they will not consider current staff for promotion. The website indicates that CLV provides education support, this is extremely false. Good luck getting a salary increase here, the management will also have no problem denying your vacation requests. The CEO greatly influences the atmosphere of the work environment, in a very negative way. Definetly a "boys club" mentality. Finally if you resign from CLV, do not expect a employment reference. There is no positive way of moving on from this company. They have a practice of escorting employees to the door as soon as they resign.

Pros

- colleagues (not management) are fun and there's a good sense of community - lots of events for staff

Cons

- massive boy's club - toxic work environment, gossip - made less than minimum wage when I broke down the amount of overtime hours I worked on salary and could not receive vacation days for - man that got hired with the exact same credentials/schooling (neither of us had any work experience prior to working for CLV) was paid $4,000 more than me for his starting wage - a lot of romantic workplace relationships - cliques and the "in-crowd" - a sense of indoctrination/cult-like attitudes towards the practices here, no one will speak out against mismanagement because the turn-around/firing here is a looming fear

Pros

- Nice people (most of the time) - Decent salary - Good location for office - Amazing knowledge gained on my trade from working there

Cons

- Expected to be on call 24/7, no work-life balance - Extreme micro-management from CEO/Senior Management - Yes-Man mentality - Extremely fast-paced and no room for error or you'll be in everyone's bad books - Employees gossip behind each other's backs - "This is the way we've always done it and it's always worked" mentality, CEO/management not open to a lot of change - Way too much partying/drinking, and use of company's buildings for staff parties - Too much emphasis on hiring good-looking young women - Annual golf tournament is held but is only for external vendors - I was told "no employees allowed" yet pictures of the event showed that there were multiple employees who played - CEO handpicks his favourite employees and only invites them to external events most of the time
