Pros

OK benefits. Great co workers. Love that they have a chapel where you can go to pray.

Cons

Horrible management. You get bullied by upper management and HR does nothing about it but go with the management side. Supervisors are retaliating and picking on employees in pfs department and nothing is being done about it. This is a fake faith based company because nothing that management does is of God. Run far away from company.retaliation is major at Christus and HR or the integrity line does not help the employees. They only help management. You get pulled in by management constantly over he say she say that only comes from what management wants to spread about people but yet the employees are taking the punch for it. If your faith is in God this is definitely not the company to work for. Management stick together no matter what. Harassment goes a long way without resolution. They have the highest turnover that I have ever seen.

The good leave and the rest stay...

Pros

Nice building. Nice gym. Nice hard working people at the associate level. Nice mission. Plenty of challenges and learning opportunities. It's a job and nothing more.

Cons

If you like working at a place with self indulgent, entitled, hubris ridden, disconnected leadership, this is your place. High turnover and low associate satisfaction is rampant. Heroics and excessive overtime/work are the norm for associates in this chaotic, disorganized environment. Leaders use associates for political cover. Efforts by associates, top performers in particular, go largely unappreciated and unnoticed by leadership (a.k.a. the executive tier - middle management and up). Associates are over taxed as leadership maintains regular schedules - attending conferences, conducting meetings (read - wine and dine) with vendors, taking vacations (the leadership vacation allotment is extremely generous), taking large bonuses in the neighborhood of 30% of base minimum and even more (associate's is less than 1% of base for many). ...but hey... they think they deserve it and the associates do not... This all occurs while top performers are left out in the cold. Top performers at the associate level receive very little - very few promotions, measly bonuses, paltry vacation allotments. What they do get is excessive work and overtime. When working excessive overtime leadership is usually absent. If this is what you are looking for, what's not to like? It's not hard to see why many associates get fed up an finally leave. The good leave and the rest stay as is usually the case with this type of environment.
