Pros

Competitive salary, above average bonuses and shares for those who perform well. It's an incredibly fun company to work for with plenty of career opportunities. The management are transparent, have no ego and have an open door company which is refreshing. Training, particularly in Cyber is second to none.

Cons

The work load if fairly considerable so won't be for everyone.

Pros

+Great culture and atmosphere. Feels like a startup but is actually 20 years old. +Strong focus on learning/training. Lots of training on offer and eLearning. You can request company funding for a professional qualifications which is good and get a bonus for passing exams too! +Lots of investment in IT/Technology. This area of the business has doubled in size since I joined and still growing. +Summer party/trip to Spain last year and this year for all staff is a nice perk. +Sunday Times top 100 employer.

Cons

-Company is spread out over multiple floors so you tend to only see those in your own team or teams on your floor mostly. There’s nearly 350 employees.

Pros

- Great exposure given the volume of accounts you handle and number of brokers you engage with - CII qualifications fully paid for with decent bonuses for completing (Cert 1,500, Dip 1,750, ACII 2,000) - Recent new office is very modern with fantastic views of the London

Cons

- Very long hours expected to tackle the workload assigned - Salaries well below the market average, with the exception of managers and those fortunate enough to be offered shares within the company - Bonuses are paid in two halves to keep you tied for 6 months in order to receive the second half, this is not the market norm - Metrics are aggressively tracked (response times, bind ratios, etc), and you will be expected to either improve them or have a good reason for them being how they are

Pros

CFC is a profitable company and bonuses are generous

Cons

Culture and leadership in IT needs to improve. Leadership needs to embrace Agile principles and values and let go of their command and control view on what Agile means. Their view is trust needs to be earned and is not given easily. This is an example of the antithesis of the inverted pyramid approach.

IT Department culture needs improvement

Pros

The vibrant youth culture contributes to a fun work environment, and the salary plus bonus is higher than average.

Cons

The leadership team needs training in effective leadership, which includes offering constructive feedback. Moreover, there is a propensity for blame-shifting within the leadership, with infrequent recognition of how their decisions might hinder progress. Furthermore, at CFC trust must be earned; it is not given until one has proven their merit.

Pros

- Good bonus but low salary. - Private health - 25 days holiday + bank holidays and emails are covered when you're off so you don't have lots of work when you come back.

Cons

- No mid year promotions, depending on the date you join you could end up waiting a long time extra. - Bonus is split across two payments 6 months apart, you don't get the second half if you hand in your notice - increasing amounts of corporate HR style training/workshops - poor benefits - Not able to get shares anymore - Low bonus for completing CII certificate, diploma, etc... - Can be very busy at times
