so many missed opportunities

Pros

Convenient if you live in Marietta. Maybe good if you are strong in church architecture.

Cons

Abysmal management. Clueless about major market sectors - either in marketing or project management. No accountability. Virtually no project controls. No collaboration across disciplines. No teams. Poor business management. Extremely insular culture with little interest in the outside world. Continuing ed or exposure to industry trends very limited. Often given only as a misplaced reward. Mediocrity welcome and incompetence rampant. "We've always done it this way" stops virtually all innovation. Staffing only to get by, not to excel. Overloading the few who are competent. Compensation not reflective of true contribution. Workplace environment often very hostile with no recourse or consequences for actionable behavior.

Low salaries, high anxieties, not much teamwork

Pros

Three good project managers who know their specialties well. Medical work with local hospitals steady; good reputation in church design.

Cons

Lack of consistent teamwork; sudden changes of direction by management; poor management; design and production staff switched from one project to another in mid-stream; projects often understaffed. Lack of communication from management to staff feeds constant GOSSIP and rumors. Staff reminded often they're lucky to have a job - so anxiety in the air. Management allows office bullies.

Pros

Benefits are competitive, and the hybrid work arrangement is generally satisfactory.

Cons

The structure may be challenging for new graduates, as positions are pretty siloed and offer limited opportunities for cross-training or skill development. Advancement and growth are not easily pursued at an individual pace.
