Pros
*If you are into politics: This place is a tremendous advocate for immigrants. A lot of their curriculum is heavily focused on social justice. *Very talented seasoned teachers working here (Not many, but the ones that have been there a while are excellent and very willing to help). *Gift certificates for employees *Free professional development
Cons
* If you aren't political: This place leans heavily on the left spectrum. If your politics are anything but left-leaning this might be a challenging place to work. Some of their curricula felt like it had an agenda. *Ridiculous amount of lesson planning involved (A co-teacher of mine who'd been working for 20+ years in the field of ESL said no other organization/school was ever as demanding as CASA with regards to lesson planning!). *Micromanaging *Felt like the organization supported students more than the teachers.
