Pros

Remote work flexibility, flexible time off.

Cons

Major projects are not planned well. Projects are rushed and not finished. Some poor hiring decisions have been made that resulted in over-promising and under-delivering. The leadership of the company doesn't understand technology very well. Technical debt is ever increasing. Communication skills are poor. More care and time needs to be spend in product ideation and planning. The culture of the company is not very empathetic. Employee happiness and fulfillment seems to be taken for granted.

Pros

The group of people working at CARD.com are amazing. People are dedicated to a data-driven approach to making business decisions which is really refreshing. To use the company phrases to describe it, CARD.com is focused on being "The CARD that cares" enabling customers to "Go branch free" while making "payments fair, fashionable and fun." That focus makes it a joy to work in the company because people are not distracted doing a ton of unrelated things. It's also great to work in a company that is focused on constantly improving its product: its great pleasure to see in an A/B test if the conversion rate has been improved (or not) and then set that test free to improve all customer experiences for the rest of time.

Cons

People are honest, sometimes brutally so. People expect the best work which can be rewarding to create great things but can also be tiring. Salaries were low at first but are getting closer to market rates these days.
