Worst job I’ve ever had.

Pros

The ability to take a sick or personal day just to get away from the place.

Cons

The place is a trap. Don’t expect to be able to use them for references. It’s a dead end job. They now want people with Bachelor’s degrees but treat employees like incompetent children. The work load is impossible. The pay is not worth the mental health problems this place will give you. There is NO room for advancement unless you’re a close friend or family member to upper management.

Pros

Orientated towards social services, good to put on your resume,

Cons

Extremely disorganized, senior management runs organizations as if it is still a mom and pop organization, the facilities are not keep up, there is not a concept of professional development, more like a factory, there is an extremely high turnover and senior management does not care about its employee, there are many HiPPOs (highest paid persons opinion) that are very out of touch with emerging trends and data, laid back aka unprofessional, no tuition reimbursement, constant change in health insurance (currently with Emblem and Emblem is not a strong provider)

Pros

Benefits after 6 months probation are good, if you can last that long.

Cons

Camba is so busy trying to prove themselves to its sponsors that they abuse the workers. At my site I work outside my job description doing everything from maintenance to manual labor and never received a honest thank you. I lost my parent and during the process had to take off several days visiting doctors, lawyers, hospitals and funeral. Afterwards I found myself in a meeting with HR who started with "you have our condolences" and then read me the riot act i.e. "Did you read the employee handbook?". Consequently I was forced to work even when sick to keep my job. At best it's a stepping stone to a better job but at the end of the day Camba is for Camba!
