Pros
Individual staff members within each department are wonderful, and hard working.
Cons
The CEO makes an incredibly high salary (and bonuses), but the hospital is constantly making decisions to cut back on benefits to employees and their families. They have cut back on time off by about 2 weeks since I began working for the hospital. Annual raises are not guaranteed, and when we do get them they are not cost of living raises, so it's essentially a pay cut every year. They haven't done a market analysis on my job title (ever) and when talking with colleagues with the same title from other hospitals I am paid close to $15 thousand a year less than them. When I brought this up to HR, the CEO got involved and said how dare I "dictate my salary". That is not how I presented it, I merely informed them of the change in the market. Meanwhile new staff are getting hired with a higher pay rate than myself. Yet I am still told to "wait until the next market analysis". I'm hoping to leave for another company soon because this is the only way I will get paid a higher rate. They recently announced that health insurance will no longer cover spouses. This is a huge expense and health insurance was previously one of the big benefits of working for Bristol Hospital. I'm truly upset by this change and is the last straw for me. Hoping I will find another job soon.
