Pros

Coworkers ROCK. They are amazing (but they dont pay my bills).

Cons

This review is on the practices of Steiner Leisure. Steiner owns The Bliss brand. Steiner has continually decreased commissions it pays the techs and increased the prices of the services. Commissions have gone from 40% of the service, down to 25-35%, and then down to 14.5% and now, because minimum wage is going up to $9.00 (in California) an hour, Steiner is decreasing commission again. The new rate will be 13.25%. So a 1 hour massage is $125. The tech will get $16.56 plus the new minimum wage of $9.00 for a WHOOPING $25.56 (plus a tip...sometimes) if, and I really mean if the tech is booked up, otherwise, it's minimum wage. For a massage therapist that is expected to perform at a high level and have high standards, we are not compensated properly. Its like Steiner has champagne taste for talent but a beer budget to pay us. There are zero incentives and we have NEVER gotten a raise, cost of living increase....nada. Minimum wages goes up and they drop out commission so that there is no changes for them.

Pros

They blew it they are in shambles no respect for us professionals..everything is done to demean you. They gaslight employees

Thet cut every ones comission to 25 % some where making 40 percent. We have all been there for years.. Broken run down neglected everything..rodents...incompetant dishonesnt managers..bliss cut salery to that of newbies getting out of school they want everyone to leave so they can hire everyone for 25% comission..what newbies earn....they have no respect for liscensed professionals and everything is broken old and tattered..bed bugs mice roaches. Toxins pumped in the air...

Pros

Many technicians have been around for as long as Bliss has been in existence. All the techs are incredibly knowledgeable in their fields. The employee product discount is great.

Cons

Management & the front desk staff is a revolving door because they are all underpaid. Bliss is notorious for paying below market for their salaried & hourly staff and it shows in the caliber of employee that end up working there. A majority of the front desk staff is young & unprofessional and barely able to provide decent customer service. The management staff is stretched way too thin & they barely stick out a year before leaving. When that happens the technicians and other staff suffer the most due to not having the support they need... not from management & not from the corporate offices.
