Pros

Some of the practitioners are genuinely concerned with providing quality patient care, which is a lot of fun to be a part of.

Cons

Almost everyone is required to sign a 'non-compete', which gives the company the power to delay raises as long as they want to, and limits your options in the field significantly if you choose to leave (I still have yet to hear a good reason why the company or the employee would benefit from having a new technician or front desk employee sign a non-compete) . They will also retain employees who don't have defined job responsibilities, which leads to an imbalance in work-load and a lack of understanding of expectations. Management asks for opinions, and then promptly makes an example of you as a 'cancerous' employee if you say something they don't agree with. You will be expected to be a sales person for the company, no matter what role you take. A colleague of mine worked >50 hrs/week, and was expected to also make time for projects outside of their role. Business and healthcare practices are sketchy, to say the least.

Bionic Prosthetics and Orthotics Response

I am currently employed at Bionic Prosthetics and Orthotics and would like to clarify a few discrepancies mentioned in this review. Staff members with privileged knowledge or “trade secrets” of the company are asked to sign a “Non-Compete Agreement” in order to protect the integrity of the business. This does not include Front Office Admin. This does include Practitioners, Technicians and Residents/Assistants as they do possess specific knowledge that can be detrimental to the existence of the company if taken to surrounding prosthetic and orthotic companies and exploited. To be clear, Non-Compete Agreements are standard practice for companies that specialize in a specific field and are necessary in order to prevent the collapse of a company. They in no way limit your growth or prevent you from promotions. Staff members are in fact assigned specific job responsibilities. If at any time staff members are uncertain what their job responsibilities are, they are encouraged to ask their Supervisor what the company’s expectations are. Bionic also has an open door policy and open discussions are encouraged daily as well as during Admin Meetings and Practitioner Meetings. Bionic Prosthetics and Orthotics staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner while at the office and during office hours. However, marketing is reserved for designated roles, not expected from all staff members.

Pros

Are you kidding me? No pros all cons

Cons

All these positive reviews are written by managers and forced employees to write them as well. Employees lack communication from management, no protocols in place, no organization and the most important thing is NO respect to their employees. It’s sad to say for a company to purchase so many businesses but do not take care of their staff. Employees are NOT compensated fairly. Pay is poor, shameful and they think they do you a huge favor when you are offered a “ raise “ . The owner is money hungry and do not care about the ones who keeps Bionic going. This place is like no other, depressing and a big disappointment!!

Pros

They will give you a job with no experience

Cons

Little to no training, overbearing company policies, terrible pay and benefits. To be completely honest, once you work there they think they own you. You will be talked down to and told what a terrible job you are doing on a regular basis. You'll be asked to do several different jobs whether you have any knowledge of the position or not. Absolutely no employee support and if you have an issue they will hold it against you (corporate retaliation) that you asked for assistance. If I could give negative stars I would.
