Pros

Nice perks. Free Lunch, lots of travel and a few excursions, Great coworkers and nice office. Good reviews are mostly from hourly workers that do not have contact with the CEO.

Cons

Tense environment to work. CEO is a good-ol-boy from the midwest that rules by fear, threats, anger outbursts and severe micromanaging. Some days he's awesome and others a nightmare, you just never know what version of him you will get and all employees walk on eggshells all day and do thier best to avoid. The slightest thing can set him off into a raging violent fit where things start flying around the office and jobs are lost. Management Hires mid-level and low-tier people that are competent but get pushed beyond their means. Top tier talent can see this in the interview process and never sign on. CEO spends too much time bragging about his Palo Alto home, $150k car, world travels and golf paid for by the company dime than building a strong team. CEO has no respect for the French parent company Owners and thinks he can do better than them at running their company. very low growth and low profit for a 10 year old branch. Competitors have grown massively bigger in the same timeframe.

Pros

The product is effective. Fringe benefits were great. Don’t know about now.

Cons

Biocodex USA used to be the best place to work. Great culture. Close team with individuals who really poured themselves into the company. Then new management showed up with an (unintentional?) condescending tone/arrogance. “We just don’t have the talent right now”...a huge slap in the face to the team who had kept the company growing and running for many years before he even knew Biocodex existed..”Shameless plugs” and lots of joking in the same meeting as announcing the letting go a colleague who had been with the company for 9 years who everyone respected.. Tone-deaf. Condescending. Arrogant. Biocodex is not Nestle. Shouldn’t treat a close-knit, boutique company as if it’s a world-wide corporation.

Pros

Had good benefits, but been slowly stripped away... who knows what's actually left of benefits now Good coworkers too but most got laid off

Cons

Low salary, very non-competitive. Really terrible executive management. Doesn't respect middle management or lower at all. Constantly contradicts themself in their decisions and logic, so it's hard to keep up. Only cares about the bottom line and it's turned into a mini-Nestle company, which doesn't work -you can't take a large corporations processes and ideas and apply directly to a much smaller company and culture and expect things to just work. The dynamic is completely different and upper management refuses to acknowledge or understand this.
