Tips are pooled/shared. Dishwashers and prep cooks make more than servers/bartenders because they can work longer shifts. Tips are collected throughout the week then distributed based on how many hours you worked that week. Pretty sure it's illegal practice as they make you sign a waiver about it upon being hired.

I enjoyed my time working at The Post in Boulder. Good pay, great sense of community among the staff, decent benefits.
Cons
Management was often chaotic and unprofessional. Tip pool system was biased, based on past management, not always accurately representative of each employee.

Hello there 'Server in Denver' - and thanks for being a part of the Big Red F team! We were pleased to see you list FUN as one of your comments. That is one of the things the Big Red F stands for! F is for Fun, Family, Filanthropy... :) and many more things. Thanks for the feedback and the vision into how rapid changes create noise and difficulty. Heard loud and clear and we will aim to be better! Thanks again for choosing our restauant to share your talents!
Great to work for a company that actually really cares about its employees and communities. They do tons of nonprofit and charity partnerships, have good, competitive benefits, and a family fund for people in the company that face serious hardships. Good culture of hardworking people. Creative. Fast paced.
Cons
Serious hustle culture, so if you can't keep up, not the right place for you. Since it's the hospitality industry, it's on 24/7 so hard to respect weekend/after hours boundaries sometimes, but there's flexibility in schedule to make up for it.
