Constant change-No Growth-Beware !

Pros

The benefits package is relatively good. Some of the more tenured staff are excellent to work with. Global business with international capabilities (although rarely leveraged!) Vacation time is good. Wellness program was a nice touch.

Cons

The business has been in a constant state of flux for the past 2 years. The direction and strategy changes with the wind - the business has lost around 20 key staff members of the past 2 years, huge turnover at board level with 6/7 key changes mainly from staff leaving for better opportunities. Too bureaucratic and slow to adapt to change. Below market salaries and limited opportunity for personal career growth. Existing staff are heavily overworked - when staff members leave, their work is usually allocated to the remaining staff resulting in more work for no more reward. Beware the recent glowing reviews from 2017......they are a PR stunt!!! Do not be fooled!!!

Coworkers were nice. Location was nice

Undervalues employees Underpays employees Very little opportunity Lack of efficiency within management Also, make sure you get everything in writing. Human Resources team is very misleading and inept. You've been warned. Honestly, if I was rating the employees' friendliness, the score would be higher, but the lack of competency witnessed at every level needs to be addressed.

All employment and salary offerings, company policies, and any other items relating to an employee’s position with us is always provided in writing in full, and we provide all employees with personal copies of this information, as well as maintaining copies in our records. We do apologize if any terms of your employment were not communicated to you in a way that left you with complete understanding. Depending on when you were with BFS, you are probably aware that we have recently restructured the company to be able to offer more specific and specialized products to our clients and to the market place. As with every major transition in a company, there are adjustments that are necessary during these times. We are happy to report that we have successfully negotiated the majority of these hurdles and believe you would find the current environment much more efficient.

Great place if your face fits!

Cons

Where to start? Nepotism is rife. A bunch of buddies control the strategy and investment. Too many people in central functions with no purpose. Technology dire. U.K. management team embraces misogynistic sales culture. Incompetence is not sanctioned and thus blossoming. Sadly the business does not. Lots of fluctuation. People are flavour of the month one day and ousted the next. Generally sad state of affairs at senior management level.
